In a shocking incident of vandalism, 500 banana plants were found cut down in a plantation in Duboli village under the Nebua Naurangia police station jurisdiction. The plantation, owned by a farmer named Madan from the nearby Akbarpur village, was home to around 1,500 banana plants, many of which were bearing fruit and nearing harvest.

The act of sabotage came to light on Friday morning when neighboring farmers visited the fields and discovered the damage. The banana plants had been cut down overnight, leaving the plantation in ruins. Madan immediately lodged a complaint with the local police, seeking justice for the severe damage caused to his livelihood.

Inspector Harshvardhan Singh, in charge of the Nebua Naurangia police station, stated that an investigation has been launched into the matter. “We are taking this case very seriously, and appropriate action will be taken once the complaint is officially received,” he assured.

This incident has left the farming community in shock and fear, as such acts of vandalism not only cause financial losses but also create a sense of insecurity among the local farmers.
