Gurgaon – The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecasted scattered showers across the Delhi-NCR region, predicting a mix of sunshine, cloudy weather, and intermittent rain over the coming days. Despite the brief respite from rainfall, the weather is expected to remain humid, with temperatures fluctuating slightly.

Current Weather Conditions

On Saturday, Gurgaon recorded a minimum temperature of 26.5 degrees Celsius, close to the seasonal average and slightly below Friday’s 27.3 degrees. The maximum temperature rose to 34.2 degrees Celsius, a slight increase from the previous day’s 33.5 degrees but still four notches below the season’s normal. Humidity levels varied between 66% and 87%, contributing to the overall muggy conditions.

“While Gurgaon saw no rain, nearby areas like Nuh, Bhiwani, and Faridabad experienced light showers,” said an IMD official. “Rain intensity will decrease after 24 hours, but scattered light to moderate showers will continue. It is typical monsoon behavior, with a mix of cloudy days, sunshine, and intermittent rain,” the official added.

So far, the city has recorded a rainfall of 113.1 mm, representing a surplus of 58% from the normal of 71.4 mm. Despite the scattered showers, the IMD expects no significant rain on Sunday, with a slight drop in the maximum temperature. The maximum temperature at Safdarjung was 34.7 degrees Celsius, while the minimum temperature was 27.1 degrees Celsius.

Upcoming Weather Predictions

In the capital, the weather remained humid, with Palam recording 0.2mm of rainfall. Although no further alerts have been issued for the upcoming week, temperatures in Delhi are expected to increase, resulting in higher humidity levels.
