Mohan Charan Majhi Sworn In as Odisha Chief Minister; Announces Key Portfolios

Bhubaneswar, June 15, 2024 — In a historic event, Mohan Charan Majhi took the oath as the Chief Minister of Odisha on Wednesday, leading the state’s first BJP government. The swearing-in ceremony, held in Bhubaneswar, marks the beginning of a new political chapter as the BJP secured a landmark victory, ending the 24-year reign of the Biju Janata Dal (BJD) by winning 78 out of 147 seats in the recently concluded assembly elections.
