Tragic Accident in Rewari: Woman Killed by Speeding Car

In a heart-wrenching incident near Bairampur village in Rewari, Haryana, a 24-year-old woman named Ritu was killed after being struck by a speeding car. The accident occurred 500 meters before Bairampur village on Bans Road. The case has been registered and the police have begun their investigation.

The Incident

On Tuesday night around 8:30 PM, Ajaypal, a resident of Bairampur, along with his wife Sarvesh and his younger brother Sonu’s wife, Ritu, went for a walk after dinner. Ritu and Sarvesh are sisters. As the trio was returning home, a white car with a Delhi registration number approached them at high speed from Bans Road and hit Ritu.

Hit-and-Run Tragedy

Rather than stopping, the driver attempted to flee, causing Ritu to get trapped under the car. The car dragged her for approximately 20 meters before the driver finally stopped. Ajaypal and Sarvesh’s screams alerted the driver, but it was too late. Ritu was immediately rushed to the hospital, where doctors declared her dead on arrival.

Identification and Police Action

The driver managed to escape, but Ajaypal recognized him as a resident of a neighboring village. The Kosli police station has registered a case and started further action to apprehend the culprit. The tragic incident has left the local community in shock and mourning.
