In a significant boost to Gurgaon’s infrastructure, Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini inaugurated and laid the foundation stones for various development projects worth Rs 144 crore in the city on Tuesday. These projects, spanning across multiple sectors, aim to enhance the city’s water supply, road infrastructure, and public health facilities.
MCG Development Projects:
A substantial portion of the investment, amounting to Rs 130 crore, has been allocated to projects under the Municipal Corporation of Gurgaon (MCG). The projects include laying water supply lines and constructing roads in several key areas. MCG Commissioner Narhari Singh Bangar provided details of these projects, highlighting their importance in improving the city’s infrastructure.
Among the projects, the chief minister laid foundation stones for:
- Pir Baba Colony (Zone-4): Rs 1 crore for water supply lines and interlocking tiles.
- NKV Farm Colony: Rs 3.1 crore for water supply lines and interlocking tiles.
- Ryan Enclave: Rs 1.7 crore for water supply lines and interlocking tiles.
- Vatika Kunj: Rs 1.5 crore for water supply lines and interlocking tiles.
- Saraswati Enclave: Rs 1 crore for water supply lines and interlocking tiles.
- Bhupnagar: Rs 99 lakh for water supply lines and interlocking tiles.
- Bhondsi Village: Rs 23.6 crore for a sewerage network.
- Malibu Town: Rs 6.5 crore for road construction.
- Sector 57: Rs 2.1 crore for water works.
- Wazirabad Village: Rs 88 crore for an advanced sports complex.
Irrigation Department Projects:
Two significant projects under the irrigation department were also inaugurated:
- Helimandi Micro-Irrigation Project: Rs 7.1 crore.
- Pataudi Micro-Irrigation Project: Rs 5.6 crore.
These projects are expected to enhance water management and agricultural productivity in the region.
Health Department Projects:
The chief minister also inaugurated three health department projects aimed at improving healthcare infrastructure in rural areas:
- Public Health Blocks: Rs 50 lakh each in Farrukhnagar, Helimandi, and Sohna.
- Prefabricated Structure at SDH Sohna: A 20-bed facility constructed for Rs 35 lakh.
Boost to Local Infrastructure:
These projects are set to bring significant improvements to the infrastructure and quality of life in Gurgaon and its surrounding areas. The advanced sports complex in Wazirabad, in particular, is expected to become a major hub for sports activities, contributing to the physical and mental well-being of the community.
