New Delhi: Amid the ongoing water and power crises in Delhi, state minister Atishi and AAP MP Raghav Chadha met Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal at Tihar jail, where he is lodged in connection with a money laundering case linked to the liquor policy. Despite his incarceration, Kejriwal has directed immediate measures to address the water shortage and power outages affecting the city.

Chief Minister’s Directives

Atishi reported that Kejriwal, despite his incarceration, is deeply concerned about the issues plaguing Delhi residents. “He instructed us to implement all necessary steps to resolve the water crisis swiftly,” she stated outside Tihar jail. Kejriwal emphasized the importance of AAP legislators being on the ground to ensure water availability in their constituencies.

Kejriwal also addressed the recent power outages caused by a fire in Uttar Pradesh. He urged Atishi and Chadha to coordinate with relevant departments to prevent future occurrences. “He told us to hold meetings with officials to ensure the power crisis is managed effectively,” Atishi added.

According to Tihar sources, Atishi and Chadha spent half an hour with Kejriwal in the visitor’s room (Mulakati Jangla). This visit follows an earlier one by Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann and Kejriwal’s wife, Sunita Kejriwal.
