Faridabad, July 4, 2024 – In a swift breakthrough, Faridabad police have arrested five individuals in connection with the murder of a 32-year-old property dealer, Kunal Bhadana. The crime took place on June 30 near Masjid Chowk in Dabua, Faridabad. The suspects, including prominent businessman Vijay Singh and his associates, are currently in police custody.
Incident Details
According to the police, Kunal Bhadana was shot in the chest while waiting with his friends near Masjid Chowk. Despite efforts to rush him to Asian Hospital in Sector 21 A, he was declared dead on arrival.
The accused have been identified as:
- Vijay Singh (48): A businessman from Kot
- Virendra alias Billu (40): Vijay’s brother
- Ramesh (42): Associate
- Pradeep alias Kalu (34): Associate
- Sandeep alias Sandy (34): Associate, all residents of SGM Nagar
Motive and Arrest
ACP (Crime) Aman Yadav disclosed that the murder stemmed from a petty argument between friends of Vijay and Kunal over a phone call. The dispute escalated when Vijay, along with his brother and associates, confronted Kunal and his friends at Masjid Chowk. In a drunken rage, Vijay pulled out his licensed gun and shot Kunal.
“During the interrogation, the accused revealed that the argument on a phone call led to the confrontation. Intoxicated at the time, Vijay shot Kunal in the chest,” ACP Yadav explained.
Legal Proceedings and Investigation
Following the incident, Kunal’s brother, Jyotindra, filed a complaint leading to the registration of a case under IPC Section 302 (murder) and relevant sections of the Arms Act at Dabua police station. The vehicle used in the crime and the murder weapon are yet to be recovered, and the accused remain in police remand as investigations continue.
The police are working diligently to gather all necessary evidence and ensure a comprehensive investigation into the murder. They are also looking into the backgrounds of the accused to understand any potential premeditated motives.
