New Delhi, India – In an exciting announcement, Gopal Vittal, CEO of Bharti Airtel, revealed that the telecom giant now offers high-speed Wi-Fi services in more than 1200 cities across India. This expansion comes as a response to the growing demand for reliable internet connectivity at home, essential for the increasing prevalence of smart devices, online learning, and remote work.

In a letter to customers, Vittal highlighted the significance of high-speed internet in today’s digital age. He wrote, “Wi-Fi has become an integral part of our daily lives, shaping how we work, learn, and entertain ourselves in our homes. We now need high-speed internet at home for smart devices, studying, and working. While Airtel’s Wi-Fi has historically had limited availability, we have worked towards solving this problem, and now we have high-speed Wi-Fi available in 1200+ cities. This means those of you who could not access high-speed internet can now do so.”

In addition to expanding coverage, Airtel is offering enhanced value with its Wi-Fi plans. Subscribers will now have access to a vast array of TV shows, movies, and web series, thanks to the inclusion of 22+ OTT platforms and over 350 TV channels in their plans. Moreover, Airtel is rewarding customer loyalty with additional benefits whenever a new Airtel service—Mobile, Content, or Wi-Fi—is added to existing plans.

As India’s second-largest telecom brand, Airtel continues to innovate and deliver more to its customers. The company, which launched its converged digital offering in September 2019, now offers multiple plans with DTH benefits starting at Rs 699 per month.

This latest development further solidifies Airtel’s commitment to enhancing the digital experience for its customers, ensuring that high-speed internet becomes accessible to every household across the country.
