In his address, Chief Minister Saini highlighted the significance of such events in promoting social harmony and health. “Marathons and Raahgiri programmes are not only inspirational for social harmony but also for the improvement of health. Under the ‘Haryana Uday Outreach Programme’ run by the state government, such events are being organised. Today’s half marathon is dedicated to the glorious and inspiring life of great freedom fighter Rao Tularam and other valiant martyrs,” he said.
Earlier in the day, the Chief Minister flagged off the half marathon at Rao Tularam Stadium, where he also paid floral tributes to the portrait of martyr Rao Tularam and announced plans for the installation of his statue at the stadium. Saini further mentioned ongoing administrative efforts to simplify the process of constructing a synthetic track at the stadium to provide better sports facilities for players in the district.
As part of the ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ campaign, Tiranga Yatras are being organized across Haryana, instilling a sense of patriotism and national unity. The Chief Minister emphasized the importance of these events, saying, “Until August 15, Tiranga Yatras are being organized across Haryana under this campaign, instilling a sense of patriotism in the people and taking a pledge to maintain national unity and integrity.”
The event concluded with a renewed sense of commitment among the participants, who were inspired by the Chief Minister’s words and the vibrant display of national pride.
