Massive Fire in Gurugram Auto Workshop Destroys 16 Luxury Cars Worth ₹7 Crore

Gurugram, August 11, 2024:
A devastating fire broke out in a motor workshop in Sector 41, Gurugram, in the early hours of Friday morning, reducing 16 luxury cars to ashes. The fire, which started around 3 AM, caused extensive damage to the workshop and the high-end vehicles parked inside. Fortunately, no casualties have been reported.

According to officials, the fire erupted at the workshop when no staff members were present. The estimated loss due to the fire is around ₹7 crore, as the workshop housed several luxury cars, including models from Mercedes, Audi Q5, BMW, Land Rover, Volvo, Ford EcoSport, Opel Astra, and Jaguar. In addition to these, some scrap vehicles were also destroyed in the blaze.

Fire department officials reported that they received the alert and promptly dispatched a fire truck to the scene. It took the firefighters nearly three hours to bring the fire under control.

The cause of the fire is still under investigation, but the incident has caused significant concern in the area, especially given the high value of the vehicles involved.
