SAIL Recruitment 2024: Apply for 249 Management Trainee Positions through GATE

Eligibility Criteria:

Candidates must hold an engineering degree with a minimum of 65% marks in any of the following disciplines: Chemical, Civil, Computer, Electrical, Electronics, Instrumentation, Mechanical, or Metallurgy. The upper age limit for applicants is 28 years as of July 25, 2024 (born on or after July 25, 1996). For SC/ST/PwBD and departmental candidates, a minimum of 55% marks is required in the relevant engineering disciplines.

Application Fee:

• General/OBC (NCL)/EWS candidates: ₹700
• SC/ST/PwBD/Departmental candidates: ₹200 (processing fee) Applicants can pay the fee online via Net Banking, Credit Card, ATM-cum-Debit Card, or at the bank through a system-generated challan form.

Selection Process:

SAIL will utilize GATE 2024 scores for the initial shortlisting of candidates. Those shortlisted will be notified through the SAIL careers page, email, or phone to participate in Group Discussion (GD) and Interview rounds. The final selection will be based on a merit list, combining the scores from GATE 2024 (75%), GD (10%), and Interview (15%).

5. EWS candidates must produce an Eligibility Certificate for the Economically Weaker Section.
6. Reserved category, PWD, Orphan, or Transgender candidates who fail to produce the required certificate during verification will need to pay a difference fee of ₹200 online.
